Rachel & Zach: A Sunrise Adventure on Skyline Drive

When Rachel and Zach reached out to me on The Knot after their engagement, I knew right away this would be a special shoot. Rachel, originally from Seattle, Washington, and Zach, currently living with her in Virginia Beach, wanted their engagement photos to feature the beauty of Virginia’s mountains. They chose Skyline Drive for their session, and I couldn’t have been more excited to help bring their vision to life.

Our adventure started bright and early with a hike to Hawksbill, the highest summit on Skyline Drive. The crisp morning air and soft glow of the rising sun set the perfect stage for capturing their love. Rachel and Zach’s joy was contagious as they laughed, posed, and soaked in the breathtaking views together.

After finishing up at Hawksbill, we made our way to Big Meadows for a few final shots. The wide-open fields and gentle morning light gave us the perfect opportunity to capture more candid moments of this incredible couple. Their connection was so genuine, and every image reflected the love and excitement they share for their future.
